Aberfeldy is a Scottish distillery founded in 1896 in the Highlands, near the town of Aberfeldy. It was built by John Dewar & Sons to produce malt whisky primarily for blending, particularly for their Dewar's blended Scotch. In 1973, the distillery's capacity was doubled, but single malt releases remained rare and mostly came from independent bottlers. In 1999, following Bacardi's acquisition, Aberfeldy released its official single malt brand, starting with the Aberfeldy 12-year-old, establishing its presence in the single malt category.
Aberfeldy Aged 21 Years is a premium single malt Scotch whisky, considered one of the flagship products of the Aberfeldy distillery and characterized by a rich and balanced taste, resulting from long aging in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
Nose: Honey-sweet with notes of dried fruit, vanilla, and a hint of spice, along with subtle notes of oak and spicy warmth.
Taste: Very complex and smooth. Dominated by notes of caramel, dried fruit, orange peel, and vanilla. Spices and fine oak gradually develop, adding depth to the whisky.
Finish: Long and smooth, with lingering sweetness and light hints of spice.
This whisky has won numerous awards for its sophisticated flavor profile, making it an ideal choice for special occasions or for those seeking a whisky with a complex and rich character.
