Longmorn Distillery is located in Speyside, Scotland, and was founded in 1893 by John Duff, a key figure in 19th-century whisky history. After failed ventures in South Africa and the USA, Duff returned to Scotland to establish Longmorn. Five years later, he built the neighboring Benriach Distillery. In 1920, Masataka Taketsuru, founder of Japan's Nikka Whisky, spent time at Longmorn, reportedly drawing inspiration from its stills for his own distilleries. Known for its rich and heavy spirit, Longmorn is a key ingredient in blended whiskies. In 1970, Longmorn merged with The Glenlivet Distilleries Ltd, later bought by Seagram in 1977. Today, it's part of Chivas Brothers under Pernod Ricard, with both official and independent bottlings available.

Longmorn Aged 16 Years is a single malt Scotch whisky, bottled directly by the Longmorn distillery. This bottling is prized for its rich and delicate taste, which it acquires through aging in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks for a minimum of 16 years.

Nose: Complex, with notes of ripe fruit, vanilla and honey.

Taste: Full and smooth, with flavors of caramel, spice and malted malt, complemented by hints of sherry and oak.

Finish: Long and warm with hints of fruit and oak.
