Sword of the Vienna Academic Legion from 1848, used during the revolutionary events in Austria. Single-edged blade with a moderate profile and a flat cut, suitable for slashing blows. The head is simply shaped, the handle has a diamond pattern for a firmer grip.
Only one part of the crossbar is preserved, the other arm is missing, which may be the result of damage or modifications. This type of sword was characteristic of the students and volunteers of the Academic Legion who participated in the fighting in the revolutionary year of 1848.
