Jawa 500 OHC – Type 15/00, nicknamed „Šnek“ was a Czechoslovak motorcycle produced by Jawa from 1951 until mid-1954, when the Type 01 went into production with an improved engine. The “Šnek” had a two-cylinder OHC engine with a countershaft, which could develop a top speed of up to 140 km/h. Except for a few details, the chassis was based on the popular Jawa 250 „Pérák“. Production of the Jawa 500 OHC was discontinued with the 15/02 model. After that, Jawa did not mass-produce another similar four-stroke motorcycle with an engine of its own design. It is believed that around 7000 units of the Jawa 500 OHC were produced in total, of which the most were the 15/02 type and the least the 15/00 making it a wanted rare collector’s item.

Offered motorcycle is in good-looking condition after older renovation. Mechanically complete, motorcycle was part of a museum exposition for a long time. Please note that this motorcycle is offered without registration documents, just with the bill of sale.
