The Jawa 350/554 „Monark“ was a twin-cylinder Czechoslovak motorcycle manufactured by Jawa. At the end of the 1960’s, the Swedish army issued a tender for purchase of new motorcycles that would be able to operate in the Swedish conditions at any time of the year. The tender was won by Jawa, which delivered motorcycles based on the Jawa 250 type 553 and type 554 models. In 1959, motorcycles with capacity of 250cc were imported, in later years engines with capacity of 350cc. In total, 1,000 motorcycles were handed over to the Swedish army. An interesting feature of these motorcycles is that they were equipped with skis for driving on snow. For that reason, they were also equipped with a lever on the right side of the handlebars that controlled the rear brake, and they also had double gear change mechanism.

Offered motorcycle is in original condition including all the details. Motorcycle was part of a museum exhibition for a long time. Please note that this motorcycle is offered without registration documents, just with the bill of sale.
