Author
Jiří Procházka se narodil 11. prosince 1919 v Bukovině. Studoval kresbu a malbu u profesora O. Blažíčka na škole architektury ČVUT v Praze. Jeho studia byla přerušena uzavřením českých vysokých škol v roce 1939, ale po druhé světové válce je dokončil u profesorů Cyrila Boudy a Martina Salcmana. Během svého studia získal také profesuru v oboru kreslení.
Po absolvování se Jiří John stal členem Spolku výtvarných umělců Mánes a později vstoupil do Svazu výtvarných umělců. První výstavy měl v Hradci Králové u E. F. Buriana, a později pravidelně vystavoval na celostátních i samostatných výstavách. Byl aktivním účastníkem a přispěvatelem k výzdobě československého pavilonu na výstavě Expo.
Jiří Procházka zemřel v roce 1987.
