About
A monumental glass sculpture inspired by musical energy and the jazz icon Louis Armstrong. The artist works with a pure, arcing line that recalls a resonating trumpet bell and a stream of sound in space. The misty translucent glass captures light in soft layers, creating a sense of motion and silence at once. Openings and inner voids make the piece airy, yet it remains a strong sculptural sign. Every surface detail carries the trace of handwork and changes with the viewing angle. It is a powerful statement object for a contemporary interior, a gallery setting or a representative office. Its collectability is enhanced by Šedivý’s architectural thinking—clear structure, construction and rhythm. Displayed on a pedestal with a spotlight, the inner drawing of the material comes alive. This work shows Šedivý’s ability to treat glass as “sound” and space. Dimensions: 40 × 37 cm, weight approx. 10 kg.
