About

The author’s lamp‑object “Harlequin” is a playful yet refined fusion of ceramics, glass and stained‑glass craft. A stylised head with bold goggles and a headband of red stained‑glass segments forms the focal point. Šedivý contrasts rough ceramic texture with clean glass surfaces that guide and shape the light. The sculpted glass “cuff” around the body acts as a luminous ring, creating a soft aura in the room. When lit, colours awaken and the lead lines draw a graphic rhythm reminiscent of a harlequin costume. The piece is both sculpture and functional light—an artefact by day and an atmospheric lamp by night. It fits perfectly in contemporary interiors, design collections, or as a gallery statement. From every angle it tells a different story: a mask, a jewel, or a small theatre scene. The materials (ceramics, glass, lead, stained glass) highlight the artist’s courage to combine contrasts. Dimensions: 57 × 50 × 30 cm, weight approx. 20 kg.
