About
A delicate and elegant figurative composition depicting two dancers, executed in the refined aesthetic spirit of the 1930s. Jaroslav Štika masterfully combines pencil drawing with subtle watercolor accents, creating a light and graceful scene filled with movement and feminine elegance. The artwork is characterized by its soft pastel palette, fine linearity and decorative Art Deco atmosphere. The figures appear airy and harmonious, while the carefully rendered costumes and facial expressions enhance the intimate and poetic quality of the composition. Signed and dated 1931, the work represents a charming example of interwar figurative drawing with strong decorative appeal. Coming from an important private Moravian collection comprising approximately 1,200 artworks, the piece is particularly attractive for collectors of Art Deco, historical illustration and refined figurative art.
