height 19 cm | Lidded porcelain pot-pourri vessel from the turn of the 19th and 20th century from the Vienna manufactory, of ovoid shape set on three scroll feet and a round fluted plinth. The body is decorated with hand-painted garlands of colourful flowers, a cobalt blue band with rich gilding and a pierced lid with a gilded finial, which allowed the scent of dried flowers to escape. The Vienna manufactory, founded in 1718, was the second oldest porcelain factory in Europe after Meissen. Marked on the underside.
