The painting Winter Landscape depicts a peaceful rural scene in winter. In the foreground, gently rolling meadows with irregular patches of snow are divided by simple wooden fences. The central part of the composition features a group of rural buildings with pitched roofs, surrounded by leafless trees. In the background, the landscape opens into a broad expanse of snow-covered fields, woodlands, and distant hills.

The painting is characterized by loose brushwork and expressive brushstrokes that capture the atmosphere of the winter landscape. Warm ochre and brown tones of the earth contrast with the cool blue and white hues of the snow-covered ground. The softly illuminated sky and muted colours of the distant horizon lend the scene an airy quality and a sense of spatial depth. The natural interplay of light and colour further enhances the tranquil character of the rural setting.

The work is executed in oil on canvas, measuring 65 × 62 cm, and signed in the lower right corner “L. P. Švehla”. The painting is framed and glazed. Provenance: Blatná Auction House auction, 21 July 2026, lot no. 16. The date of execution is not specified.
