In the text, Turba examines how these classical Roman foundations shaped contemporary Baroque legal scholarship and teaching at the Prague law faculty. It was published under the auspices of the then rector of Charles-Ferdinand University, physician and professor Jan Antonín Cassini de Bugella, and was dedicated to Emperor Leopold I.
